Collaborative Housing

With principles of community life and cooperation, collaborative housing is the social response to a problem that mainly affects vulnerable groups such as young people, people with disabilities and the elderly. CERCIG aims to create a paradise for 54 people to live in a concept of sharing and mutual help, with community gardens, gardens, a maintenance circuit, gym, laundries, multipurpose rooms, shared electric vehicles and much more.

This project has the highest ever rating in Guarda’s CLAS and has received fantastic support from the Municipality of Guarda and its technical staff. CERCIG is committed to developing an innovative, sustainable and inclusive housing solution that can serve as a model for other communities.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) recognizes the social, economic and environmental benefits of collaborative housing, a more inclusive and sustainable model that facilitates coexistence, cooperation and the responsible use of natural and energy resources. Living in a community is also an alternative to combating loneliness, which particularly affects older people.

With the creation of this sustainable model of collaborative housing, CERCIG hopes to promote social inclusion and the protection of human rights, contributing to the construction of a more just and inclusive society.

CERCIG reaffirms its commitment to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that can improve the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations.
